Bert is a filmmaker originally from Charlotte, NC. He decided to pursue film after making some of his first films in high school with his friend’s dad’s camera equipment. He has worked on three senior thesis films at Penn State: Good Company (2023, Production Assistant), Frail Grounds (2024, 1st Asst. Camera), and Hanging Up the Hat (2025, Co-Director of Photography), as well as several other projects. Bert loves on-set problem solving and crafting the perfect shot. He hopes to continue working in production, specifically with cameras or at a rental house. In his free time, Bert enjoys photography, walking around scenic locations, and listening to music.

Favorite Set Memory
His favorite set memory was the first night shooting at the eating house. It was 3am and the core team was having a late night meeting to prepare for the next day. Bryce connected to a speaker and played a knocking effect. Rachel was ready to call 911, Gabby went to grab a c-stand arm, and Bert checked the door. Luckily Bryce revealed himself quickly after.
Favorite Location
His favorite location was the infomercial set. It was really cool building the space and seeing everything come together.
